A Message from Judge Lira:
As a first-generation American, I understand the challenges of building a new life in a new country. My family came from humble beginnings, and like so many in our community, we faced obstacles that required resilience, sacrifice, and hope. Those experiences shaped my values and inspired me to dedicate my legal career to helping families like mine navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system.
As Judge of County Court-at-Law 7, I’ve brought both my lived experience and legal expertise to the bench—always mindful that compassion, patience, and a steady temperament are essential, especially in the most difficult cases. I’ve worked diligently to reduce the court’s backlog and have made it a priority to ensure that every case is handled with fairness, efficiency, and integrity.
Serving this community has been an honor, and I remain committed to a court that reflects the values and dignity of the people it serves.
